2019: Dr. Leaman founded Gryphon Foundation for People with Disadvantages (GFPD).
2022: GFPD is granted 501(3c) nonprofit status.

1. Intelligent Power Wheelchair (IPW) R&D, including student internships, and travel related to IPW public demos. This includes loan payments for the Independent Living Recreational Vehicle (ILRV). The IPW will be used to film a unique documentary from the perspective of a power wheelchair user.
2. Support for business operations including this website, email, and a wheelchair accessible van.
